RE: "GOOD HOUSEKEEPING" NEWS

Greetings Member-Partners!

Before I share a bit of "housekeeping" news with you, I want to thank you for the outpouring of introductions and referrals we've received since my last letter. It's been said that uncertainty breeds flight to quality and away from risk, and it's good to know that in these uncertain times, your faith in League stands firm. To date, 1,400 Member-Partners have made more than 4,400 investments with League.

So much of our success has been built on introductions made by you, our esteemed Member-Partners, and we appreciate it deeply. Your referrals are the best indication that you are happy with both the investment and the service we've provided. I promise that we will always treat your friends with the same careful attention that we have given you. As your fellow Partners, we owe you no less.

And now the news...

  • In the Mail...About to arrive at your door is a package containing two colourful booklets: one contains all the important updates from the last quarter; and the other introduces the IGW REIT's new Income Priority Units. We have also included four postage-paid reply cards. Two of these you can use to request Blue Books for your friends, one to opt-out of our mailing list altogether, and one to update your contact information. Please be sure to use them.

  • Tax Slip Reminder
Tax slips for Limited Partnership and REIT units will be issued by March 31. This is because the information required to determine the allocation of income is derived from the completed of year end financial statements. Other slips you might receive-such as T5, T4RSP, T4RIF, Official Receipts, etc.-are simply a record of a transaction that has occurred during the year, and therefore, arrive earlier. Also, note that electronic filing is not possible for Limited Partnerships that are less than one year old, as Revenue Canada will not issue a tax ID number until those LPs' first anniversary. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is unavoidable.

  • On TV and Radio: Brad Stokes, a League Members' Services Manager
You will recall that I recently informed you that Brad Stokes-one of our Members' Services Managers, and an author, motivational speaker, and founding member of "The Kindness Crew"-was to be interviewed on several TV and radio programs across the country to promote "Brew Some Good Week". He would also be offering a digital copy of his book "Cool to be Kind". I’m happy to lead you to this link, so you can see his interview on CTV News. After viewing the clip, I’m sure you’ll be as proud to be in Member-Partnership with him as we are.

  • Send in the Three-Question Survey cards
Many thanks to those who have already returned the card you received with your statements. You will recall that for each card received before February 21, the League Foundation will donate $5 to Absolute Leadership. Every card returned thereafter would generate a $1 donation. So far, fewer than 10% of the cards have been returned-but it's not too late! If you have not yet sent yours, please do so today. Your rating of, and suggestions for, our service is of the utmost importance to us, and the sooner I receive your card, the sooner I can finalize our donation to a very worthy cause.

  • Accelerated RRSP Transfers
Just in time for our new Income Priority Units-which are RRSP eligible-comes word from Olympia Trust that they can now do electronic transfers. This means that transfers to or from your registered plans can be done simply, efficiently, and in only a fraction of the time. Also, by taking advantage of the faster transfer process, you can now use your RRSP, RESP, LIRA and RIF funds to purchase a fixed stream of returns. To refresh your memory, the new Income Priority Units offer the choice of a One-Year-Term at 8.5%; or a Two-Year-Term at 9.25%-paid monthly. Feel free to speak to Scott Chan, a Members' Services Manager who also happens to be our resident Registered Plans Specialist, or your own Members' Services Manager to find out more.

  • League's New Vancouver Office
Call ahead, or drop in to meet VP of Members' Services David Yan, and Members' Services Managers: Jason Giovannetti, Leona Lam, Aniz Vasanji, Shafiq Vallani, and Aaron Melnyk. Or join them for Open House Week-April 20 to 24-to put a face to the name in a relaxed atmosphere with tasty refreshments. The address is Park Place, 630-666 Burrard Street, Vancouver. • Stay In the Know!

Well friends, that finishes my "housekeeping" for today. If there is anything else you need, all you need to do is ask. Until next time, I remain...

Sincerely yours,

Emanuel.

How to Join League
If you've already read the Blue Book. Just complete and return a Notice of Interest form (below) for either the IGW REIT, or one of League's other investment pools.

Once received, your Members' Services Manager will send you the Investment Overview, along with the Offering Documents and Subscription form. These documents provide the disclosure you'll rely on to make your final investment decision, including the investment's structure, finances, risks, and rewards.

If you have any questions or need help understanding any of the material, your Members' Services Manager is always available to help.

Download the Notice of interest form:

Reminders...
The State of the Units Report is published quarterly in March, June, September and December on the Updates page of League's website. This includes detailed updates on ongoing activities at each property.

Distribution payments begin on the 21st day of the month following the day you invest. You need not wait until the next revaluation to subscribe and begin receiving your distribution payment.

Tax slips are issued for Limited Partnership and REIT unitholders by March 31st each year. Please note that electronic filing is not possible for Limited Partnerships less than one year old.

New unit values are announced May 1, August 1, November 1, and February 1. The next re-valuation is on May 1st. Until then, all new subscriptions will be based on this current unit value. The amount distributed per unit remains unchanged at 10.05 cents per unit per annum. When new rents are available for distribution, we will consider increasing the distribution to all IGW REIT unitholders.

To review how the revaluations are performed, click here or review the Frequently Asked Questions section of the current Investment Overview available in the Members Area of League's website.
